Terms of use
Effective October 11, 2026 · Last updated October 11, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the Azure Driver app and its online service (together, “Azure Driver”), operated by an independent developer in Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Azure Driver, you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies. Where the two differ, these terms add to it.
Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we protect it.
2. Your account and household
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Accounts join a household by invitation. The household owner decides who joins and what each person can see and change, and is responsible for the people they invite.
- Give accurate information, and use Azure Driver only for vehicles you own, drive, or manage.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.
3. Your content
Records, photos, receipts and notes you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, back up, process and display them only so we can run Azure Driver for you and the people you share your household with. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful.
4. AI features
Some features use a third-party AI service, only with your permission (see the privacy policy).
- AI can make mistakes. Answers, diagnoses, and details read from notes or receipts may be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important.
- Not professional advice. Diagnose suggests possible causes; it isn't an inspection. For anything affecting safety (brakes, steering, tires, warning lights, recalls), see a qualified mechanic or your dealer, and check official recall notices.
- Use it for your vehicles. Don't use the AI features for anything unrelated to Azure Driver, to produce harmful or unlawful content, or to try to get around their limits.
- The providers' rules apply. AI requests are processed by our provider (currently OpenRouter) and the maker of the AI model. By using these features you agree to follow their terms and usage policies.
- Fair-use limits. We may limit how much AI each household uses per day, and change or turn off AI features at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to access other people's households, accounts or data;
- probe, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service or its security;
- share your access with people outside your household, or resell any part of Azure Driver;
- use Azure Driver in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
We may suspend or close accounts that do, and remove content that breaks these terms.
6. The service
Azure Driver is run on our own server by an independent developer. We work hard to keep it running and your data backed up, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. We provide it “as is”, without warranties, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose: household owners can export everything from Settings → Export all data.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made using information in the app, including AI answers, reminders, recalls or cost estimates. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
8. Ending
You can stop using Azure Driver and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken, or if we stop running the service. If we ever shut it down, we'll give reasonable notice where we can so you can export your data.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
